I had been dealing with constant headaches for years and went to a lot of clinics that just told me to take advil to deal with the pain. I finally found Dr. Thompson at The Neural Connection who actually listened to me and believed in my problems. Over the years I have been seeing Thompson for any injuries or pains and he always helps me. I walk out the door  pain free after treatment. Thompson has also treated our son for concessions. From the get go Dr Maesaka was a fountain of information and answered all my questions with compassion.  He is perceptive and has a way of decreasing anxiety when facing new challenges.  After my first day of working with him my family noticed a difference which was encouraging and gave me hope of a full recovery.  Everyday Dr. Maesaka was ready to go to work. After years of digging to get help I finally found Dr Maesaka and Dr Hennes.  Im from Ohio, so my rehab was an intense week long rehab. Life changing and I can live again. I was extremely active period to accident. Im back to those activities and can actually go enjoy dinner with friends after work. I can get set backs, but I use the techniques they taught me to calm the brain down.
Im truly thankful to have been able to get care from these two extraordinary doctors. I did not share with many friends/family about my trip to get care. When they see me they comment how different I am and I’m back to my old self.

My daughter, age 9, was 18 months post stroke and had been struggling with frequent headaches and dizziness among several other side effect such as irritability, brain fatigue, and anxiety just to name a few. We’ve worked with several doctors since her stroke who have not been able to help these lingering effects. Dr. Maesaka worked closely with us and during that time we learned so much! Dr. Maesaka was so incredibly patient working with a 9 year old who doesn’t always stay focused. He did a fantastic job of teaching and explaining to us the “why” behind all of these ailments she continues to struggle with since her stroke. We learned so much about what brain injuries do to a person. No other doctor helped us in this way. He did a fantastic job sending us home between visits with a home care plan of therapies/exercises and then seeing what was working or not working and adjusting that plan accordingly until we found what was going to work for her. Since seeing Dr. Maesaka our daughter has not complained of headaches or dizziness to any degree of what she used to. It’s very rare now to hear her complain of any. She has also been able to complete her school days on a regular basis. Prior to seeing Dr. Maesaka she was still not back in school full time since her stroke. She would have to be picked up early because she just didn’t have the stamina to complete the full day. The at home therapy we went home with helps our daughter get through her days with so much more ease. So grateful to have found Dr. Maesaka!

After suffering a mild TBI from an accident I was having constant brain fog, processing, memory recall issues, anxiety, balance problems, and light sensitivity. He really does Care about us(chronically ill people) and want to help us. After listening to what I’ve gone through in my symptoms, he Talk to me about My untreated concussion and referred me to a couple people in my area that could help me long-term. You don’t find very often a doctor that will listen to you, Sympathize and empathize with you, And not blame your anxiety for your symptoms; Dr.Maesaka is the doctor you need If you feel like you’re not being heard by other doctors for your chronic illness and migraines. Ashley had struggled with stomach issues for years before finding The Neural Connection. When she found us, she was experiencing a variety of digestive and hormonal issues, with minimal relief from traditional medical care.

Jim found The Neural Connection after a car accident. While most people don’t associate car accidents with concussions, its very common for a seemingly simple jolt to cause concussive damage.
